STOLLEN HEARSE

Has anyone else ever had their hearse stolen? Am I the only unlucky person to lose my baby to a thief? My baby was taken last wednesday while I slept. I had it parked right next to my bedroom window and didn't hear a thing. How can someone steal something this obvious and the police not be able to find it? Come on let's get real you don't see a bunch of hearses on the road like toyota's. I have only nightmares of what I think they are doing to my poor baby. I miss it and am quite angry for not installing that alarm when I should have. I'm just sick.

Dude, I am so sorry to hear that, that is like my worst nightmare. With all the time and money I have put in mine I cant even imagine what I would do if she was stolen. I hope for the best for you.

That fucking sucks! Can't say I've ever had a hearse stolen, however I did have my 1993 RWD fleetwood stolen once. I did get it back, but it was fucked up and it hasn't been the same since.....in fact now it just sits there in a row with some of my parts cars. I went through the same thoughts as you are having now.......and so you know, THE POLICE WERE ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!! I cannot emphasize that enough. They're exact words were, and I quote "we don't have much faith in solving a case like this".......which when translated from oink to english means, we aren't even going to look for it, fuck you for having it stolen. They couldn't have cared less. We only got it back because a family member had seen the car in their town.....turns out our address book was in the car and he was casing family members houses.....nice huh? We reported it and had to argue with two police departments that then told us and I quote again "we will put out an APB if it makes you happy".......what do you know, they found it that afternoon. The moral of this story, do the ground work yourself much as you are doing now, network craigslist and whatever other sites you can think of, don't trust the police to even give a shit, and call your insurance agent(I hope you had full coverage). I hope you find the car, likely it has been ditched somewhere because that kind of vehicle draws too much attention and maybe it was local talent and hasn't gone to far. Otherwise do what I did, move to the country, have a fenced and gated property, and install an alarm system with teeth (three german shepherds). Matt

I guess my baby is gone. The police have informed me that they think it was shipped to Haiti. There were three early 90 model hearses shipped from the port of Miami last saturday and one was blue with a black top. They said once it left U.S. waters there is nothing more they can do about it. Now I guess I just wait for the insurance company to pay for my loss. Still really pisses me off that someone would steel my baby and the police acted like it was nothing. They didn't even show an interest till I persisted they do something. Calling them four times a day.

Well I got my license plate back from my hearse. Someone found it in Belle Glade, Florida. I guess that is the only part of the car I will ever see again. At least I don't have to think up another personal plate now. Pics coming soon of my new ride.

I got a new hearse, it is a Buick Roadmaster, 1993 model. Silver with Pewter top, and of course blue interior. Drives like a dream, and yes I got an alarm put in is a soon as I got her home.
