I was at the Knoxville Horror Film Festival last night and there was a short film from North Carolina that had a really cool hearse in it. The credits said it was provided by Tosh Horton and I was…Continue

It was wild here tonight in East TN but not nearly as bad as many others in Alabama and Georgia. I was in my basement garage for about an hour and I don't scare easy! I was actually sitting in the…Continue

Hey Dani! WoW! Moving to Florida! That is so cool!
Why live in Orlando if working in Melbourne? That's a helluva drive. We are an hour or so from Orlando but the other direction. But LOVE stuff over on that side of the state! Let me tell you, Melbourne has THE BEST Irish Pub EVER!
We live 70 miles north of Tampa but am so stoked that you are moving here! 'Cuz we love to travel so going to the East Coast is no biggie for us.
Ohhhhh, my poor Midnight! She hasn't run since summer before last and I am freaking out! I hate it! I lost my job last Sept. so no spare money at all to even have her looked at, so there she sits. As it is, I have been barely making enough for us to pay the bills. And we have a roof leak so that is first on our priority list. Even have overdrafted twice this year, never ever do we do that! Has not been a fun time.
However
I have a job prospect for a full time M-F job, so say a prayer, light a candle, chant something, I don't care! Just hope I get this job! Will give me extra $ plus the part time one I have now to build the coffers back up and get things going around here.
Are you moving the whole hearse business too? That would be awesome! Can help me with ideas for Midnight.
Talk to ya soon!
Val
PM me and I can give you my cell #
I have been told I am "sensitive" yet it doesn't seem to garner me anything.
We have, or maybe had (I said a blessing and haven't experienced either since) a shadow of a cat here and there in the house and sometimes the feeling of cat feet walking across the blanket on my legs in bed and the feeling of someone sitting down on the bed where the blankets pull as if someone sat on them. I and my husband had felt this but didn't know we both had! Hadn't wanted to say anything to the other in case it sounded crazy, it is funny now!
I couple of years ago I had heard what sounded like a couple of guys talking and went into our oldest son's room (he was home from graduating college) to ask him to take a look around outside. It was at night and I swear it sounded like they were just outside and talking, I just couldn't make out what was being said. Like if people were standing outside a closed window. He snuck outside and walked around the house and didn't find anyone.
Then a few weeks ago I was going to bed late and was in the bathroom in our bedroom and could hear the guys talking! Again! And it dawned on me it was familiar, I listened really hard but couldn't make out words and couldn't tell if the voices were outside. The bathroom window was open about an inch, but they really really sounded like they were maybe in the bedroom. Hubby was sleeping and had the air cleaner running and I started wondering is it the white noise of the air cleaner? Or is it possible to hear the voices because of the white noise?
I've seen them use that as a technique to get EVP on a couple of different shows.
Interesting!
I mean if someone was outside that would be a pretty dirty thing to do, but to have it shut and no one is around, Spooky!
I love ghost stuff, the guy that owns the hearse "Big Evil" has had lots of spooky things happen, even to other stuff in his building where he put it!
I know, I secretly find it hysterical!
I don't let him know that!
I think she unlocked to let him out 'cuz he was going to bust out a window, since there is no table there is a spare tire rig (like you find up under a van) in the back holding a tire in the middle in the back. He was looking to see if it had a crowbar attached, otherwise he was ready to take lit apart and use that or if not, then kick out a window.
He says he pulled and pulled on tabs and they wouldn't unlock, ho inside handles in the back, and no privacy partition.
She kept him long enough to make her point! LOL
How the heck can the back door swing shut???
I have more like "crowd"-aphobia, and that sucks
Well, isn't that just typical of a hubby! LOL! Mine has been like that with Halloween, but as the raves came in for my yard as the years have gone by he has become more involved.
I guess he never has had any interest in hearses, but this is why he doesn't ever want to come near mine -
a few weeks after I bought her, hubby wanted to move her and even tho' he said he didn't want to "have anything to do with it" I was at work so he did it. As it so happened, I had gone on break so decided to call home (we were in the midst of painting the house) to see what he was up to. He was completely breathless, near hysterical, and I couldn't understand him at first. I still wasn't quite sure what happened until I got home. Apparently I had called him just seconds after he had gotten into the house after having been locked inside Midnight!
I had been having what I thought was battery problems (found out it was the alternator a few mos later) and when he got in Midnight she wouldn't start, and the doors wouldn't open. I insisted it was because they are electric locks, but he is right, you can manually pull up an electric lock! Let me also add that he has claustrophobia (don't be in a stopped elevator w/him!!!) Apparently he couldn't get the locks up on either door and started looking for something to break a window with when the locks went "snick" and unlocked!
I told him he needed to go out there and apologize to Midnight about always talking shit about her (cracks like "death mobile" "hell car" "christine" all the classics), I don't know if he has by himself, but he will look under her hood if I am standing there holding it up so it won't "bite him" LOL!
Good to hear that everything is pretty much going well. I know, I haven't been on in a month! And weird part is I hadn't even been online in days until yesterday, got kinda burned out I guess.
I actually talked hubby into looking at Midnight's engine, we need to get a few tools just to have him try working on it. Our youngest son and his friend, who is a mechanic, have been working on her for me, but since this engine is old I figured hubby would be better to look at it. He would be more familiar with that style and age of engine, unfortunately we can't find some of his tools, and son doesn't seem to know anything about them. And this was after he had said he got them out for his friend to use.
So just another lovely thing to deal with. ;-) I am not going to worry about the windshield, or even the license plate (ran out in Dec. oops LOL) until it is necessary. But I am so glad to have hubby on board, until now he wouldn't even go near her!
Vader said… All them there little switches control the doors and windows. The silver buttons open the 4 doors {front and rear} (since I removed all the door handles inside and out). The lit up buttons (red) control the front windows (up and down). The big red switch cover is for a safety switch. I plan on adding a flame out kit soon and that will be the on-off switch for that. The stick pointing down controls the side rearview mirrors.
I have totally stripped ALL the workings off the doors. the only thing on them is going to be a cover and speaker.
